File a Critical Illness Claim
Unlike a death claim where the payment of benefits is simply based on the death of the insured, a Critical Illness or Chronic Illness claim is subjective. Filing a Critical Illness claim that gets approved isn’t as easy as it sounds. And a Chronic Illness claim is even more challenging.
While death is irrefutable, a critical illness can be challenged – in other words, your insurer may not agree that your illness qualifies as a critical illness or a chronic illness according to their policy. That’s why you need the representation of the Center for Life Insurance Disputes to get your claim approved. Don’t make your first-ever attempt at getting claim benefits paid without your own representation by an experienced professional.

Don’t File a Critical Illness Claim Without Your Own Representative
A Critical illness is a life-threatening condition, which is generally defined within the policy. Most critical illness policies provide for the payment of a lump sum benefit if the policyholder is diagnosed as suffering from one of a number of specified critical illnesses. These include:
Critical illnesses include: Stroke, Cancer, Heart Attack, Coronary Artery Disease, Angioplasty Or Other Invasive Treatments For Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Valve Replacement, Fulminant Viral Hepatitis, Chronic Liver Disease, Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Chronic Lung Disease, Kidney Failure, Surgery To Aorta, Aplastic Anemia, Major Organ Transplant, Blindness, Loss Of Hearing / Deafness, Loss Of Speech, Coma, Major Burns, Multiple Sclerosis, Paralysis / Paraplegia, Muscular Dystrophy, Alzheimer’s Disease / Irreversible Organic Degenerative Brain Disorders, Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Terminal Illness, Encephalitis, Benign Brain Tumor, Major Head Trauma, Bacterial Meningitis, Poliomyelitis, Apallic Syndrome, Loss Of Independent Existence, Aids, and Cardiomyopathy.
A Chronic Illness is generally an illness that will never be eliminated but may not cause a death. Some examples include:
Heart disease, Malignant cancers, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, Mental illness, Arthritis, Asthma and COPD, Kidney disease.
The conditions of this list may be far more debilitative for one person than they are for another. And, insurers set requirements for each condition that means the insured has to have their condition qualify under the insurers definition not necessarily their doctors. That’s where the challenges of getting a claim approved come-in. You can be sure that when you make a claim for a Chronic Illness the insurer will do a very thorough investigation to find ways to not have to pay your claim. You need professional representation on your side to get your claim properly filed and approved.
