How to File a Life Insurance Claim with Minnesota Life
Minnesota Life Insurance Claim was Denied

I had a friend ask me if I knew, if while planning ones funeral, is it legal for the funeral director to offer to buy your insurance policy at face value from you. Those in need of money might go for it. The value at death will be quite a bit higher. Giving the funeral director quite a bit of a payout that was probably ment for the family. Is this legal? If not, who does this get reported to?

It might be legal but it doesn’t sound very ethical. You may want to check with your State’s Attorney General and the National Funeral Directors Association.
