The beneficiary of a Globe Life Insurance claim recently contacted us to help her file a contestable death claim. She had done some internet research and read many complaints about collecting death claims from Globe Life. Her claim was on a policy which was less than 2 years old, which made it a contestable claim. Knowing she had several challenges ahead of her, she employed the Center for Life Insurance Disputes to represent her and her claim.
As is standard procedure for The Center, we fully investigated the claim before we submitted any claim papers to Globe Life. This allowed us to know what we would be dealing with in potential delays and possible denial. It also allowed us to provide Globe Life with detailed facts as to the insured’s health history.
One of several concerns we had was the vagueness of the insured’s medical records. There were too many notations that could be misinterpreted by Globe Life, which would lead to a denial of the claim. We made sure Globe Life understood the insured’s actual health history, and not a misinterpretation of his health history. In many similar matters where the insured is diabetic, the medical records cause more confusion than answers. We addressed these possible issues so that Globe would promptly approve the claim.
Globe Life’s claim examiner did an investigation once our claim package was submitted. They agreed with our medical investigation and conclusions. They were very cooperative to our direction and input. Within 90 days our client had her check from Globe Life.
